August News

August 6th, 2008

Workshop From Home ($24 plus postage if required)

There is so much happening this month I’m not sure where to start.

Our classes are growing thanks to the wonderful designs created by our DT. At the moment I have so many I have been able to give the over worked and underpaid DT members some time off. On the subject of Design Team, Theresa Smith and Debbie Mitchell are leaving us here at Scrappy Days for newer horizons. There is only one way these pair can go from here and it’s UP. I wish both Debbie and Theresa the absolute best in their future scrapbooking endeavours.

And as with most things when one person leaves another joins. The newest member to our Design Team is Sydney based Jodie Markham. Jodie has only been scrapbooking for a short time, but her work is truly amazing. I’m sure you will all agree once Jodie’s layouts are circulated in our Class agenda. I hope to have a long and very enjoyable association with Jodie, as we both seem to have one trait in common, we both can’t stop talking. So welcome abroad Jodie!

With that said, I’d like to point out the tireless and unpaid work all members of our Design Team do here at Scrappy Days. And for the love of scrapbooking, now that has to be admired. So thank you team for being as talented and giving your time as you are, and I hope, continue to be.

We now have our Rewards Card program up and running. Make sure to ask about it when you are next in store. Coming soon is our Class Rewards program, sure to be a winner with many customers. And don’t forget if you have never been to a class here at Scrappy Days before, your first class is half price, making it even greater value for money.

If you find that you haven’t the time to do our store classes make a point of signing up for our regular ‘Workshop From Home’ class. There are two each month, kits cost just $24 plus postage and handling if required. First up this month we have a Star Album, created by DT Member Tina Drew. Step by Step Instructions are included with each kit. A picture of the Star Album is below and as you can see it’s a beauty. Book your kit now, later on in the month we will be doing a Butterfly Album.

Arriving mid August is the new range from Basic Grey, all five lines are set to be nothing sure of spectular. Also coming soon is the latest from Cosmo Cricket and Sassfras Lass. The Scallops of Sassfras Lass papers you just have to love and they can be used for so many purposes.

Our next Friday Frenzy is Friday August 29th. The night kicks off at 6pm and goes to Midnight. The cost is $20 and includes dinner and nibbles throughout the night. It’s a great opportunity to meet new people and scrap till the wee hours of the morning. What else could you ask for?

Our next Ngaire Bartlam workshop is Saturday September 20th. Book now to confirm your place, because as you can imagine seats fill fast.

Starting August 11 is the Scrapbooking Olympics. Details can be found via this site… http://cddoodles.forumandco.com/index.htm
Fantastic prizes up for grabs and as the saying goes you have to be in it to win it.

Lets not forget our KIDS Classes. We are now having the classes twice weekly. Every Monday and Wednesday. Classes commence at 3.30 and finish at 5pm and at just $8 seats are filling fast. All the kids need to bring with them is a photo and their individual creativity.
